Jim's goal for this year is to summit a 14er. (A 14,000 ft. peak) here in Colorado. We are also rabid supporters of Soldiers to Summits, a program which allows injured veterans to break through barriers and learn life lessons through the medium of mountain climbing.
As a proud veteran, Jim is thrilled to have the chance to summit with the Soldiers of 2012, who will be climbing Cotopaxi, in Ecuador, this December. This June climb is a training run for that expedition.
Not only will Jim be climbing with vets, he'll be climbing with his heroes, Erik Weihenmayer, the only blind man to ever summit Everest, and his climbing partner Jeff Evans, as well as our new friend Charley Mace and more new friends we havent met yet.
If you were considering giving to Soldiers to Summits, please consider giving here. It allows Jim to have his dream climb and all the money goes to a great cause.
Jana will be hiking a little way along with the group, but this is Jim's day to summit, so she'll be a cheerleader and proud wife!
