During our Stop the #FERCus actions in DC with beyondextremeenergy.org, there were many thefts, one of which was a break-in of my car that resulted in the theft of my fiddle (case, bows, and all the bells & whistles).
A police report has been filed, but there is very little chance of it being reclaimed.
This is an article published in the Washington Post regarding this incident:
The ballad of the fiddle that traveled 3,000 miles — and then was stolen by John Kelly
In wishing to continue my service for the common good as a mobile organizer and an ecological justice intersectional activist, I hope to raise funds to help with restoring the fiddledom and ongoing travel costs that are part of the work I do with outreach to communities throughout the country.
