I just finished making a Wish come true for my 9th Wish Kid. The wish reveal took place at Derby Elementary School in front of all the grades, teachers, etc. One of the highlights of the day for me was when a six year old boy approached me after the assembly with a friend in tow. I had also granted a wish for his sister. "See, I told you. It's her. It's really her! There she is! She can make magic happen!" I felt as important as the Queen of England. Where else would I ever get the chance to do something this significant? It's a chance to really feel like I am touching the hearts of not only children who have life-threatening illnesses, but their families too. It is such a tremendous honor to be asked to be part of this process. Even though I can't take away the pain or discomfort this child is feeling, I can give him/her happiness and hope in the anticipation of the wish, and the memories it creates.
I will be walking in Witches, Wizards, and Wishes 5K at VT Teddy Bear Factory. I invite you to join me at the event and look forward to raising additional funds in order to grant more wishes! Without your support, granting wishes would not be possible, and your gifts have helped make the hope, love and magic in these wishes, come true! Thank you!
