BENEFITING: National Kidney Foundation, Inc.
ORGANIZER: National Kidney Foundation, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
On November 1st, I'll depart Staten Island and run 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of New York for the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon. This year I'll be running with the National Kidney Foundation #TeamKidney and raising money for a cause that directly impacted my family.
In 2007, my cousin, Matt, was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of IgA Nephropathy, a progressive kidney disease, which destroys kidneys quickly. Through Matt's tremendous courage and the unconditional support of our family, particularly his wife Danielle (who founded http://www.needakidney.org and https://www.facebook.com/mattneedsakidney?fref=ts&ref=br_tf), Matt battled through 2 kidney transplants and is now in full recovery. My family recognizes how extraordinarily fortunate we are that Matt was able to secure multiple transplant donors, while so many families continue to struggle to find the right match.
Donate today to help support me, the National Kidney Foundation and families everywhere who are searching for donors and are fighting this terrible disease.

Team Kidney is the challenge program for the National Kidney Foundation. You can run, jump, ride, swim – anything that makes you sweat - to raise funds to enhance the lives of everyone with or at risk of kidney disease.
