Most people avoid Animal Shelters when looking for a new pet, it's too sad, too depressing, too smelly. They think the animals are "broken" "abused" "aggressive". This breaks my heart. Animal Shelters, in the words of Steve Connell, are "where best friends meet" "where families grow", & both were true the day I met my youngest dog Texas at the shelter. My sweet, loving, smart, handsome best friend was waiting for me at a shelter, a smelly sad shelter. If you know me at all it won't surprise you when I say, GET OVER IT and get to a shelter when it's time for you to grow your family. I'll even take the first step for you by joining Sleepover at the Shelter, or should I call it Sleepless at the Shelter. Please support me in my shelter slumber party!
