BENEFITING: Brigham and Women's Hospital
ORGANIZER: Brigham and Women's Hospital
EVENT: B.A.A. 10K
EVENT DATE: Jun 26, 2016
On Sunday, June 26, I, along with fellow co-worker teammates will join together to run the 2016 Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) 10K road race to support Brigham and Women’s Hospital. For those of you who know me... I am definitley NOT a runner by any means, and a 10K is actually something I will have to "train" for, as sad as that sounds...
Working at the Brigham, I am exposed to some pretty amazing breakthroughs in patient care on a daily basis. Every day, BWH doctors, researchers and caregivers work together to find new ways to predict, prevent and treat some of the most challenging diseases that exist today, all with a profoundly human touch. The care that this hospital provides far exceeds those around it in so many ways. I have patients not only from all over the New England area come to the Brigham for the specialized care they provide, but also a great deal of patients fly across the country, or even across the world for the profound doctors and medical staff here. Our team is proud to run in support of this world-class hospital that is fueling quality patient care, innovative training, and life-changing discoveries that will benefit patients here in Boston and around the world.
It would mean alot to me to have your support while I torture myself to train for a 10K!!! Any little bit helps, and goes to a great institution!
All my love,
