At the No Barriers Summit I climbed a rock wall, shot an arrow, took a hike lead by Erik Weihenmayer, held a hawk and an owl while they ate pheasant off my hand, banged drums in a circle and went face to face with a dog, something I havent done in 10 years. The courage and strength I found in myself with the help of my rope team has made me a stronger, more confident woman. Now I am ready for my next adventure! I will be hiking in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Starting at an elevation of 9400 feet and finishing at 11006, we will climb over 1700 feet! Once again lead by Erki Weihenmayer, I will be hiking with people who aare blind, hard of hearing, in wheelchairs, people suffering with PTSD, but on that day, we will all be exactly the same, hiking up the trail, sharing laughter, love and possible a few groans. My sister Cindy Bean will be joining me. This is a fundraising event for No Barriers, this amazing organization that makes these events possible for all. My goal is to raise $250. If you can conribute, GREAT! If you can wish me luck and send me love, its much needed and appreciated! 7 miles up! Ausust 12!
