Luis & Cary Machado Ministries
Organized by: Luis Machado
Cary and I have an opportunity during this fall, November 20 to join churches around the Augusta, The Central Savannah River Area and across the U.S. on a mission trip to Casa Shalom Orphanage, Guatemala. Casa Shalom Orphanage began with three children and is now home to 105 children from all over the country of Guatemala. Boys and girls come to Casa Shalom after being orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected by their families, and sometimes come from families who are simply too poor to care for them. Casa Shalom also seek to meet the educational needs of their children, and provide opportunities for them to attend school from preschool through high school, with university education as an option for young people who graduate from high school.
The most important goal of Casa Shalom is to show the love of Jesus Christ to the children every day with a focus that every boy and girl at the orphanage come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Luis & Cary Machado Ministries are partnering with Casa Shalom and together we are committed to being Christ’s hands and feet to “the least of these.” What a chance to minister to others!
We are excited about what God is going to do in our life and in other people's lives through this ministry this fall. We do, however, need your help. Our mission team is responsible for providing 100% of the funds to complete our chosen project at the orphanage which might include: Replacing the roof to living quarters, Adding gutters for rain water collection system, Electrical and plumbing work, Pouring concrete and Vacation Bible School. We will be flying to Guatemala City and then busing over the Orphanage (Casa Shalom). We will need to raise around $5,000. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.
God Bless You;
Luis & Cary Machado
