We'll celebrate Maddie Potts’ legacy of kindness, sportsmanship and dedication to the sports of Soccer, Track and Lacrosse. Maddie was 17 and in her senior year at Chariho High School when she collapsed on the soccer field and later died at Hasbro Children’s Hospital from an unknown brain aneurysm. Maddie was a loving sister, daughter, granddaughter, artist, and friend, as well as a Soccer and two year Lacrosse Captain.

Since Maddie was born on the 11th and carried this number with her throughout her sports career, The Foundation’s mission is to celebrate Maddie’s character through the 11 attributes that represent her work ethic and approach to life. When life gets tough think about these 11 characteristics and ask yourself What Would Maddie Do?

OUR GOAL is to raise $36,000 and train over 1,100 participants! We're partnering with Positive Tracks, an organization that teaches young people how to sweat for good.

The Foundation has already handed out four $1,100.00 scholarships to athletes from Chariho High School, while continuing to encourage all coaches to incorporate the Positive Coaching Alliance philosophy into their programs, through the Maddie Potts Coaching Symposium. In addition, The Foundation has a long term commitment to improve the athletic facilities on the Chariho campus by building a Maddie Potts Field House and Indoor Practice Facility.
