As you may be aware, I am signed up and committed to running in the Cleveland Marathon on May 20th, my second attempt at the 26.2 mile challenge. I have been training hard for more than three months and am so excited for the race that is now only six weeks away! While running the marathon is a personal achievement that means a great deal to me, I would love for it to benefit someone else as well.
As most of you know, I have been involved with the Suicide Prevention Education Alliance here in Northeast Ohio for three years now, and couldn't think of a better organization to raise money for. Their lifesaving mission is to deliver their proven program, Recognizing Teen Depression and Preventing Suicide, to students in 116 area high schools. In 2012 alone, they will serve 15,500 local teens.
As a loved one, I am selfishly looking for some much needed moral support and if you are so obliged, some financial support for a worthy cause. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks in advance for your support and encouragement!
