For those of you who'd prefer to watch a video than read a whole bunch of text (I know I would), I put together a video to explain my wish. Below are a few of the key points:
1- I need your help!

3- I need your miles!
Well, that about sums it up. Just kidding, here's what I want you to know.
I consider myself and my daughter to be at-risk for type 2 diabetes.
I believe that everybody in the United States, regardless of their insurance policy or bank account, should be given the opportunity to prevent diabetes.
This is why I'm asking you to join me in supporting the Skinny Gene Project's mission to educate those who are at-risk, empower them by providing nutrition education and other resources needed to prevent type 2 diabetes.
FOR MY 35th BIRTHDAY, I HAVE A 2 PART WISH....Raise $3,500 and Receive 3,500 exercise miles
Doing My Part
I know you work hard for your money, so I’m willing to work hard for your donation. I will be completing 35 miles on my birthday. And, to honor the 79 million prediabetics that will have to work hard to prevent diabetes, I pledge to complete 790 miles (fitness) before my 36th birthday, a year from now.

You can make a straight donation, or if you care to make things a bit more interesting, you can pledge your change to help us create change. Specifically, pledge $0.10 for every mile that we do as a group from May 26th-June 26th. Don't worry, you can cap it. (See video)

Help us put prevention on the move! I need your miles to reach my goal of 3,500 miles in 30 days. So, grab a friend (or 10) and go for a walk or run. Each exercise mile you donate helps to make a statement and raises money. Plus, it's good for you!
Here's what you need to do. Pledge to complete 3.5 or 35 (OR MORE) miles in between May 26th - June 26th. You can walk, bike, hike, swim, jog etc.
