Every $10 brings Medic Mobile and healthcare access to 100 more people.
Over a billion people in hard-to-reach areas will never see a doctor but 96% of the world has access to a cell signal. Medic Mobile builds mobile and easy-to-use web apps that help health workers reach more people.
"I had to write data in a book, then go by foot to the woman in the medical clinic and speak to her. Now I have this phone, it’s easy to do.
- Samu K Toi, Community Health Worker
Health workers are village volunteers like Samu in Kenya. She uses a $10 phone equipped with Medic Mobile to register pregnant woman instead of walking 30+ miles every week to the hospital. Medic Mobile is now in the hands of 9,000 health workers in 20 countries covering over 5 million people.

About Medic Mobile
Our platform has seen vaccination rates rise from 67% to 97% in India; thousands of hours saved in transportation in Malawi; pregnant women give birth in a hospital 2x as often in Kenya; medicine shortages reported 134 times faster in Mexico; and 3640 vaccines saved in 6 weeks from dangerous temperatures in Kenya.
CEO, Josh Nesbit, was a pre-medical undergraduate student at Stanford when he spent the summer working at St. Gabriel’s hospital in rural Malawi. He observed patients walking up to 100 miles to see the hospital’s single doctor and community health workers walking over 30 miles to deliver reports by hand. He also observed stronger cell phone reception in the Malawian rural village than back home in California. The next time he returned to the hospital, he was carrying a suitcase of $10 Nokia phones. The impact of communication was undeniable. He then joined forces with co-founder Isaac Holeman, and Medic Mobile was born.
