MLNFHE is a non-profit foundation that was started in January 2011, with the mission of improving the lives of children in the remote Nepalese Himalayan district of Khotang. This area has a population of over 250,000 people in about 70 villages. This area is cut off from roads and communication, has no waste management (toilets) or clean drinking water, and has severely limited access to adequate public health, health care, and educational opportunities. The 2012 Miles Levin Miracle Fund at beaumont children's hospital was also created to financially assist families in the Detroit area with children undergoing treatment for Pediatric Cancers and other serious childhood illnesses. You can learn more by going to our website http://www.miles2nepal.org.
ABOUT MILES: Miles Levin was an amazing young man who wrote in a blog about his battle with cancer (CarePages.com) prior to dying just before his 19th birthday from a rare Pediatric Malignancy (www.levinstory.com). “Dying is not what scares me: it is dying having had no impact”. Your participation in this event will allow Miles to continue to make an impact.
We have lots of awesome prizes (like an iPad3) for you to use to get your friends and family to donate to your fundraiser. Click here to check it out, choose a prize and email everyone you know about it.
