Miles of Hope Day – October 14, 2016
In support of Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation and BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH.
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus, Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell, Rockland County Executive Edwin Day and Chairman of the Columbia County Board of Supervisors, Matt Murell have all declared this date Miles of Hope Day in their respective counties and Mayor Rob Rolison has done the same for the City of Poughkeepsie.
Several School Districts throughout the Hudson Valley are showing their support by observing the day. Students are participating by wearing pink to school on Friday, October 14 and donating $1 and many fall sports teams are hosting PINK OUT games. Everyone is welcome to donate directly to Miles of Hope on line. Help your community…your school… your team… raise money for local breast cancer programs in our Hudson Valley!
Miles of Hope funds support services, education and outreach for people affected by breast cancer within the 8 counties of the Hudson Valley: Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, Columbia and Greene. All money raised here, stays here, supporting our families, friends, neighbors and colleagues .
