Where do you feel at home? Maybe you have a few places—where you live, where your family is, or where you feel safe. Maybe there is one place that brings all of these together. Or maybe not.
“The Food Project is my safe haven because it’s the perfect balance of diversity. I’m getting so much knowledge about so many different things that I would never, ever even think about if I was just at school or if I was just at home.” –Sasha M., 17 Lynn
The Food Project provides meaningful employment and safe learning spaces for 120 young people like Sasha every year. Together, these young people cultivate 70 acres of farmland and grow 250,000 pounds of fresh produce. This food is used to create sustainable and just food systems in eastern Massachusetts.
