The Primary Health Care and Resource Centre is a small community based clinic located in Chapaguan, Nepal (approximately 2 hours from Katmandu). They provide primary care services to the townspeople of Chapaguan. While they treat patients with a wide variety of illnesses (chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes; infectious disease, minor trauma, and dental), their chief focus is at the heart of Nepal's medical needs, specifically, maternal-fetal medicine. The clinic provides support, but must grown to meet the needs of the village and surrounding region. This clinic is not a government clinic, but is a clinic supported and run by the community members. It represents a model for other villages in the region, through Nepal, and the developing world.
