EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2016
This is a photo of an enterprising woman in Bostwana who had a small stall on the side of the road selling her crafts. Beautiful bowls, spoons, baskets and jewelry. She was firecly focused on her work and I do believe nothing could have interrupted her pace! I could not speak her language but I knew exactly what she was saying. Her eyes, smile and energy spoke the language of empowerment.
Did you know that around the world, women work two-thirds of all working hours, but only earn 10% of the world’s income?
Empowering women is the key to lift communities out of poverty.
That's why I am participating in Walk in Her Shoes. To raise funds to support programs such as CARE’s Village Savings and Loan Associations, which shows women how to efficiently save and invest, and improve business and marketing skills.
Will you support me by donating $10?
Thank you for your support!
