The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation’s goal is to actively promote physical well-being, encourage teamwork, stress the value of education and provide essential life skills to young people in our community through youth hockey and other activities. With the guidance of the ownership group, the Penguins organization has always been noted for very generous contributions to the surrounding communities. Pittsburgh Penguins, players, coaches, and front office staff are involved in every aspect of community development, but what makes the programs work is the response to various efforts by Penguins fans. The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation was created—to focus on the organization’s wide-ranging charitable and community outreach efforts benefiting the youth in the Pittsburgh region. The Mario Lemieux Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for cancer research and patient care, as well as Austin’s Playroom Project, an initiative that creates playrooms for children and families in medical facilities. The Mario Lemieux Foundation was created in 1993 by hockey legend Mario Lemieux. In that year, Mario was enjoying the greatest season of his brilliant career and on pace to establish a new NHL scoring record. Then he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. After a successful battle with Hodgkin’s Mario is now 22 years cancer free and his experience led him to focus on ways to assist those not so fortunate. He devotes much of his time to the Foundation raising funds to help reach the ultimate goal: a cure for cancer. Click here to visit the official site.
Celebrate the start of the 2015-16 Pittsburgh Penguins season by participating in the third annual Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk presented by CONSOL Energy on October 4, 2015.

The 6.6K Run will begin at CONSOL Energy Center, run through Pittsburgh streets and return to CONSOL Energy Center for the finish. Post-race, all 6.6K Run and One-Mile Walk participants will be granted access to CONSOL Energy Center using their race bib for a Pittsburgh Penguins open practice. Please note, you must have a race bib to enter the Penguins open practice. Children ages 5 & under will be granted access with a guardian who has a race bib.

It will take anywhere from 3 seconds to 1 minute for your pic to upload, depending on how big it is.
You're going to see this message every time you post a new pic. So, we're making the text really long so that it'll take you at least five picture uploads to read it all. Here's what we're thinking...While your first picture is uploading think about someone you want to kiss. When you upload your second pic think about one friend who you can beat in a race. On your third photo upload think about your favorite food that begins with the letter H. While your fourth picture is uploading think about how great it would be if you were a world class breakdancer. While your fifth picture is uploading try to think of the best candy to eat if you were a mime spending a month in New Zealand. If you upload a sixth and seventh picture please just read all of this again.
We're setting up your Fundraiser page right now. It will take anywhere from 3 seconds to 27 seconds.
