It's marathon week!
October 31, 2016
BENEFITING: PROJECT PURPLE
ORGANIZER: PROJECT PURPLE
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
On November 6th, Scott, Erik, Chad and Corinne are going to take on Manhattan one mile at time. But they knew running for the sweat and shin splints just wasn’t enough, and so they joined the Project Purple team to help raise money for the fight against Pancreatic Cancer.
They will be running in memory of Scott J Carlson (Erik and Scott's father) who lost his battle to pancreatic cancer in August of 2015 at the young age of 56 — However, the memories of Scott will never fade, as everyone knows you could always find him with a Carlsberg in one hand, ready to be the life of the party. Never was there a weekend where he didn’t have 4 household projects, 2 cars being washed from top to bottom, and the lawn mowed with his pal John Deere. On summer evenings he could be found out by the backyard tiki bar with with the music so loud the neighbors would come from near and far to join in on the fun. The pairing of his contracting business and his eye for detail could take on any home and turn them into a renovated masterpiece.
August of 2015 was one of the toughest months for the Carlson family. Within that last year Scott was able to see one son graduate college, his daughter start college, and his oldest son buy his first home. With these 26.2 miles, we are raising money for Project Purple to help others whose lives have been affected by this terrible cancer in hopes that one day we can live in a world without it.
We thank you in advance for your donation.
As Scott would always say "it's all good!"
