Every minute in the US, 24 people experience intimate partner violence. Every minute at House of the Good Shepherd, 14 women and 30+ children who have survived extreme circumstances of such violence are working toward a brighter future.
While we try to keep the location of these families confidential, the internet makes this difficult, so it is imperative that we put security measures in place to keep these families safe. We need your help to:
1. Repair the gate at our entrance so we can control who drives on and off of our campus.
2. Install security alarms in the building where our moms and their children attend classes and counseling provided by our staff and volunteers. Safety and security are critical to their healing.
A foundational element of our program is that our families know that they are safe and worthy of a better life. Your donation towards greater security for our program will help us to keep danger at bay and provide the path to a life free from fear. Thank you for reading this and we are grateful for your support.
**As of August 25, we have received an anonymous challenge grant of $5,000. We invite you to match this challenge and help us reach our goal so we can double our efforts to provide a more secure enviounment for the families we serve.**
