BENEFITING: Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona
Sharon Manor helps homeless women and children journey out of violence and poverty and into economic independence, safety, health, and self-sufficiency.
Beyond temporary, emergency shelter, Sharon Manor provides up to 2 years of comprehensive case management and safe housing for residents as they work to rebuild their lives after domestic violence. Since opening in 1999, over 400 women and children have found safety, support, and hope here.
Sharon Manor residents receive wrap-around case management services to identify and achieve goals. Women in the program spend at least 20 hours a week working or continuing their education. In addition to case management services, participants attend workshops, classes and group meetings focused on financial planning, continuing their education, employment, social and personal development and healing, and stable housing.
