My mom is a speech therapist. She always talks about her students. I have heard her talk about her student with Rett Syndrome so many times. Her student is only 5 years old. She cannot walk. She cannot talk. But she is really, really smart. She uses a very cool communcation device called a Tobii. It is an eye gaze device that allows this little girl to communicate with her family, teachers and friends. Some of the messages my mom has received from her student are so amazing. I want to help not only my mom's student, but all girls with Rett Syndrome. I want to help find a cure.
On June 27th, I will compete with a team in five different strength challenges to raise awareness and funds for Rettsyndrome.org. After the event at Rebell Strength and Conditioning, there will be an after party open to all at D'Agostino's Pizza at Addison and Southport. There will be a food and drink package along with a raffle with great prizes. If you would like to be a part of this day in any way, please contact Mike Connelly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your generosity!
