DEADLINE TO GIVE: Mar 30, 2017
When disasters strike, the people of Hawaii know the Red Cross will be there to respond. The Red Cross is on call 24/7 and responds to disasters in Hawaii every 4 days. And even though they work side by side fire, police, military, and civil defense, Red Cross is not a government agency and does not receive any funding from the federal or state government for disaster operations.
Red Cross needs your help to raise much needed funds not only for disaster relief, but for a new Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) that is instrumental in almost every phase of disaster response—from prepositioning people, cots and blankets before a hurricane strikes, to distributing food and water following a brushfire, to providing a safe place for a Red Cross worker to offer physical and emotional support to a family following a home fire.
Please kokua so Red Cross can fulfill its humanitarian mission for the next 100 years!
