I am increasing my fundraising goal!!
May 19, 2016
On Sunday, May 22nd, I am participating in the fourth annual Grace's Race, a 5k that raises money for pediatric cancer research. This year's event will see Grace's Race return to its roots where it began in 2012 as part of the Homestead Community 5K. We will be back running in the Homestead neighborhood in Centennial, CO again this year where Grace Petroff still lives. Grace was a student at Homestead Elementary when she was diagnosed with a malignant glioblastoma brain tumor in 2010. Grace is now 16 years old and is cancer free after undergoing aggressive treatment at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Back in 2013, Grace was getting back to living her life cancer-free and decided that she wanted to ask her school and neighborhood community to raise money for the foundation that funded the treatment that saved her life...thus, GRACE'S RACE was born. All money raised will be donated to The Morgan Adams Foundation to help fund research and treatment to help save the lives of future pediatric cancer patients.
We are very excited to have our great team of runners returning for the fourth year of Grace's Race! Every year, we, The Road Hazards, take very seriously the challenge to raise the most money among Grace's Race teams!
Please consider donating anything you can - even $5 or $10 dollars! Every penny counts and helps fund research that continues to save and improve the lives of children battling brain cancer around the world! That's the beauty of scientific research - all the things being done here at Children's Hospital Colorado help doctors and researchers around the world push ever closer to the shared goal of ending pediatric cancer!
Thank you!!! For supporting our little run AND for standing beside us in the fight to lessen the burden on our children battling cancer!
