EVENT DATE: Sep 12, 2015
Help us raise $15,000 for the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls Fairness Fund!
Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls is a non-profit music and mentoring program. We run summer camps and after school programs. We encourage girls to act as leaders in their own process of musical creation, to ask questions of the world, and to build community together. Thanks to our Fairness Fund, all of our programs are offered free of charge or with sliding-scale tuition.
We invite you to Rock ‘n’ Bowl with us to benefit our Fairness Fund. Join us as a team captain, a bowler, or a team sponsor.
In keeping with tradition, our 3rd Annual Rock ‘n’ Bowl-a-thon will be an afternoon of over-the-top Rock Camp-style fun in celebration of the proposition that GIRLS ROCK! Sign up today!!!
When: Saturday, Sept. 12, 2-5pm
Where: Frames Bowling Lounge – 550 W. 40th St. (at 9th Ave.) in Manhattan
Here’s how the Willie Mae Rock ‘n’ Bowl-a-thon works:
FORM A TEAM! -- Teams can be 4-8 bowlers who sign up and fundraise. All ages and all gender identities welcome. No bowling prowess necessary. The sooner you get started, the more time to raise money!
INVITE SUPPORTERS! – Teams must raise a minimum of $500 (per team, not per person) by August 28 to bowl. Tell everybody you know to support your team with a donation.
COMPETE FOR PRIZES! – The grand prize goes to the team that raises the most money. All teams that raise $1,000 or more get a secret special prize. But it doesn’t stop there -- prizes for most team swag, best costumes, most strikes, best team name, and more!
DON'T WANT TO BOWL or LIVE OUT OF TOWN? – Donate to a friend’s team, or pick a team and help roll them over the $500 threshold. Find the team with the best name or the best graphic and rock them with your support.
So, polish your ball and head to the lanes for the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls Fairness Fund. For detailed instructions on how to create or join a team, go here. Or find your way by clicking the SET UP A FUNDRAISER button on this page and following the instructions.
