On Sunday, October 28, I'll attempt to run 26.2 miles through the streets of Washington, DC and Virginia as one of many participants in the Marine Corps Marathon.
The reason I decided to run the marathon is simple: I want to use this race as a platform to help others. That's why, for the third consecutive year, I'm partnering with the Hall STEPS Foundation, a nonprofit charity founded by my college friends, Ryan and Sara Hall, to help combat poverty and improve the lives of some of the neediest people both domestically and abroad. Recently STEPS has helped to build a hospital in Kenya's Rift Valley and a medical center in Pemba, Mozambique, and I'm excited to see what the Foundation does next.
I would be honored if you would consider joining me in this effort to fight global poverty. Donations to the STEPS Foundation are 100% tax deductible. Thank you for believing in me and this great mission--I'm truly grateful for your support.
