I have never been a runner, but in order to spark change, you must start with yourself. Last month I bought a pair of sneakers, and I haven't stopped running since. I started slow but, with a lot of hard work, I am now running farther and faster than ever before. What began as a desire to stay fit and explore my new city has evolved into something more. I have a long way to go, but I am inspired everyday by the opportunity to do some good in this world. On September 8th, 2013 I will run the Chicago Half Marathon on behalf of the Human Rights Campaign, and I hope that you will help me in my goal to improve the lives of LGBT individuals nationwide. We all deserve to love and be loved.
As a small token of my gratitude, I will write the names of all donors on the red and white jersey (pictured above) that I will wear during the race!
Thank you one and all!
