EVENT DATE: Oct 04, 2014
When disaster strikes you expect to see the Red Cross. And yes, thanks to its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners, the American Red Cross is always there in times of need. Dedicated volunteers respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing shelter, food, clothing, medical supplies, clean up kits, mental health support and much, much more.
All this needed assistance is made possible by the generosity of people like you. Run for the Red on October 4th in Lake Placid, NY is a fun and easy way for you to show your support!
Join your fellow Red Cross supporters for a fun-filled event to help raise awareness and funding for the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York. This exciting second annual event features a 400M Kid’s Fun Run on the Olympic Speed Skating Arena, a 5K Run/Walk that takes you on a scenic route around historic Lake Placid, plus plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy!
Ways to show your support:
* Participate and organize a team of your family and friends
* Come cheer and encourage runners and walkers
* Lend your support with a much appreciated donation of any size, to help the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York, continue all the extremely valuable work they do in the community.
Because we never know when disaster will strike and whom it will affect, we need to be prepared, and need your support.
Thank you for support!
