Jonah’s Just Begun is an organization dedicated to the research and development of a life saving treatment for the ultra rare children’s disease Sanfilippo Syndrome. Park Slope parents, Jill Wood and Jeremy Weishaar, started this organization after Dr. Cao helped with diagnosing their son, Jonah, with this deadly disease shortly after his first birthday. It is the earliest diagnosis of Sanfilippo to date, which allowed the family to begin the fight to save their son’s life early on. Without Dr. Cao, Jonah may have gone undiagnosed for years. And for that the family will forever be grateful.
Please take 5 minutes to learn about Jonah and his diagnosis: https://youtu.be/cuBBxJ_-xyM
Life-saving treatments are just around the corner for Jonah and other children with Sanfilippo. What we need now is to continue to raise awareness and raise funds. To find out more please visit their website: www.jonahsjustbegun.org.
