BENEFITING: FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT INC
Who We Are:
Technology is the future. Studies show information technology (IT) is already outstripping other industries in economic growth. To ensure we all have a stake in this global phenomenon, Career Communications Group (CCG) found it of paramount importance to promote IT opportunities that will help communities take a leading role in teaching our children about technology.
The Foundation for Educational Development, Inc. (FEDI), a 501(c)(3), federal id 52-192-9345, was founded in 1993 to promote engineering, science, and technology to underrepresented men and women through professional and career development, educational programs, awards programs, and career placement opportunities.
FEDI has developed programs designed to reach various levels of minorities and women. This commitment reaches pre-college and college-aged youth, as well as professionals and executives. FEDI has developed and sponsored a series of professional seminars, symposia, and workshops.
Many underrepresented STEM Major college students are missing out on professional networking opportunities that help foster relationships from professionals and mentors in their respective fields.
Raise funds to provide registration, meals, transportation, and hotel accommodations for STEM Major College students to our 20th Anniversary National Women of Color Conference in Detroit, Michigan, October 15-17. This conference will inspire and educate students as they learn from professionals in their fields of study and network with top executives and mentors from Fortune 500 Corporations.
STEM Students work hard and deserve to experience the advantages that the Women of Color Conference can create.
