Thank you very much for your donations and well wishes. I really appreciate your support.

Thank you very much!
Here we are again, a decade later, at the eve of another New York City Marathon.
Yes, yours truly has decided to run it again. I hope you will join me for this exciting event and have a smashing celebration afterwards.
As you all know, I fundraised for Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the 2002 NYC Marathon. This time I have decided to fundraise for a cause very dear to my heart and I am hoping that you will join me in achieving this goal and have a hell of a great time doing it.
You all know about my love of animals and how animal rights are important to me. Especially, those who had the honor of meeting my cats and dogs know that pit bulls have a special place in my heart. Not only because they are beautiful, smart, loving and loyal but they are also the target of horrendous cruelties by humans. Unfortunately, the media does not help their reputation either.
After my first pit bull Louie died in 2006, I started volunteering for a wonderful organization called Pit Bull Rescue Central (http://www.pbrc.net). The main purpose of our organization is to educate the public and to end suffering and cruelty to dogs identified as pit bulls and/or mixes. The utmost goal is to educate the public that pit bulls are not these blood thirsty vicious animals.
We have number of areas that your generous donation can be put into good use: rescue and placement of homeless dogs, veterinary treatment, spay or neuter, provide food, shelter or other basic necessities.
I have been postponing my NYC marathon entry since 2003. After my pit bull Harry passed away from a very aggressive form of cancer in May 2012, I decided to run it for Harry and the pit bulls.
Even though it is customary to give a $1 a mile, please be generous. Or just donate whatever you can. These wonderful dogs need our help.
If only I had Harry’s energy at the start line, I would bet all of you to double/triple your donations, if I ran the NYC marathon under 4 and a half hours.
Love and peace to all,
