Please help my organization The "Diva Foundation support the #DIVAHouse challenge to Raise $25,000!
You may recognize me from the television show 'Instant Mom,' a brand new family comedy series on Nick at Nite or "Ray Donovan" an American television crime drama series created by Ann Biderman for Showtime. This year also marks the 24th anniversary of Divas Simply Singing. DIVAS SIMPLY SINGING! is a magical evening of song and entertainment! This event features a host of the most talented men and women in the entertainment business united in a benefit concert to continue the courageous battle against HIV/AIDS.
In 1990, Sheryl Lee Ralph established the DIVA Foundation and presented DIVAS! Simply Singing as a loving memorial to the many friends she had lost to HIV/AIDS. For 24 consecutive years, Sheryl Lee Ralph and her friends have come together to raise their voices in song and commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.
But, what you probably don't know is that The Diva Foundation is responsible for an unprecedented four day empowerment HIV/AIDS summit in South Africa. Convening HIV/AIDS infected and affected women and girls of African descent. The Sisters Circle speaks to women's unique HIV/AIDS circumstances like violence against women, healthcare, cultural differences, and the effects of HIV-AIDS on the family. The Summit recognizes the often overlooked yet critical role that women and girls can and must play in their own health and well-being.
