Nadya and Masha stood up for their fellow Russians, their fellow women, and their fellow humans in their fight for Human Rights and Freedom of Speech. As injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, now it's on us to show that we've got their backs.
Nadya and Masha are facing their second year (11 months to go) in very cold, remote, and dangerous Russian labor camps (Gulags, yes, they still exist, the official term being "corrective labor camp"), away from their families and young children.
There are critical monthly expenses faced by the women and their families including monitoring and visitation by local attorneys and family members (crucial for their safety as unmonitored dissidents have died mysteriously in these camps), warm clothes, food, medicine and care for their two young children, Phillip and Gera. Please consider contributing the following:
$10 – provides phone and video call access
$25 – provides food packages
$50 – provides medicine
$100 – provides warm clothes
$150 – provides for family visitation costs
$300 – provides childcare for their children Phillip and Gera
$500 – provides monitoring by local lawyers
$2,500 – provides for one full month of their care and safety support efforts
Go even one step further and fundraise for the cause. Select the “CREATE YOUR FUNDRAISER” button on the right to set up your own personal Pussy Riot fundraiser. Share it with all of your friends and a family. You can even take on an effort to try and sponsor one full month of their care and safety: $2,500.
We'll keep Nadya and Masha updated on each team's details and pass your messages and progress on to them directly, let's show them that although newscycles come and go, that we'll be right there with them, for the duration.
Whether you do a month or contribute in any way, we thank you all for your support.
