BENEFITING: THINK PINK ROCKS
ORGANIZER: THINK PINK ROCKS
EVENT: NYC Half 2012
EVENT DATE: Mar 18, 2012
As some of you may already know I am running the NYC Half Marathon on March 18th and raising some money to help fight breast cancer along the way. Many of you who read this will unfortunately know all too well the effects this terrible disease can have on a person, a family, and a community. As much as I want to raise money to help support research to find a cure (And I really do so don't hesitate to donate ... ALOT). I put this page together to show support. In many situations you can't put a price on how much physical, emotional, and social support mean to a person who is going through an ordeal like this. Many times the time people spend to help far out weighs and monetary donation they may of made. And that is my goal of this page. To bring families together.
200 families to be exact.
200 families to donate $5 each.
Bringing 200 families together will help bring to the light the immense support we all have at our disposal. My family has seen first hand the great community that we have surrounded ourselves with over the years and I'd like to share that will anyone and everyone who may need it. So with that said, if you can, please take a minute to donate $5 and add your families name to the list of people we can all count on in a time of need.

We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer and to provide funding for screening, treatment and research.
Did you know:
• A woman's risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer is greatly increased if she carries the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation (Breast Cancer gene mutation).
• Men with these mutations also have an increased risk of breast and prostate cancer. Our team will raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
All money raised for Think Pink Rocks from the NYC Half 2012 will benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Some members of our team have a direct connection to breast cancer, but we also have many team members who are running or walking simply because they want to support a great cause.
Think Pink Rocks is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Contributions to Think Pink Rocks are tax deductable to the extent allowable by law.
PLEASE NOTE - WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO JOIN OUR FUNDRAISING TEAM FOR THIS GREAT CAUSE. HOWEVER, JOINING OUR FUNDRAISING TEAM DOES NOT PROVIDE YOU A SPOT IN THE NYC HALF 2012 UNLESS YOU HAVE CORRESPONDED WITH AND RECEIVED CONFIRMATION DIRECTLY FROM OUR TEAM CAPTAIN. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON HOW TO JOIN OUR TEAM FOR THE RACE, PLEASE EMAIL RICH, OUR TEAM CAPTAIN AT RICHRSL@YAHOO.COM.
