Team CLC Running in the 2015 Fifth Third River Bank Run
EVENT DATE: May 09, 2015
Welcome to Team CLC - the amazing group of individuals who are running and walking in the 2015 Fifth Third River Bank Run to help the children at Conductive Learning Center achieve a greater level of independence in all that they do. In addition to training for the 5K, 10K or 25K races or preparing for the 5K Community Walk, Team CLC participants are collecting pledges for CLC's "Champion a Child" scholarship fund, allowing even more children to experience the life-changing Conductive Education program at CLC.
Children who attend CLC are affected by motor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury and other genetic disorders. They are often severely limited in their ability to perform basic, everyday activities such as sitting, standing, walking, eating, toileting and getting dressed. CLC employs a dynamic, integrated learning system, called Conductive Education, to help the children gain control over their movements & acquire the skills necessary to accomplish the tasks of daily living.
