WENDY J. PIERSON FOUNDATION FOR BRAIN CANCER RESEARCH
Join our team and show that your participation in the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon means more than just a race…RUN FOR A REASON, and the reason is to give hope. Brain cancer is a devastating disease that flies under the radar. It is a little known fact that brain tumors are the leading solid tumor killer of kids under 20, the 2ndleading cancer killer of men and 5th leading cancer killer of women under 30. Treatments have seen little progress in the last 25 years, largely due to a lack of awareness, and the gross underfunding of research. Our goal is to change that! We proudly awarded our first grant of $30,000 this year to Dr. David Krag at THE UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT for his research into a targeted individualized treatment for glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer.
Join us in our 4th year as a Miles for a Mission partner; run a relay leg, a half-marathon, or a full marathon. Bring your team or be a part of ours. We are asking for a $300 fund raising commitment per runner. Help us in our grassroots movement so that we may ensure that there is hope for EVERY diagnosis.
For more information concerning us, donations, participation, or the research we have funded, please contact Nancy Condit at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your consideration! GRAY MATTERS!!
