As an independent graduate school of health sciences, the MGH Institute of Health Professions prepares health professionals and advances care for a diverse society through leadership in education, clinical practice, research and scholarship, professional service, and community engagement.
The MGH Institute is currently supporting three runners – Heather Quirk, Beth Ann Rutolo and Charles Vanderburg -- who will be participating in the 2012 Boston Marathon.
Heather Quirk a second-year Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing student, is raising money for the MGH Institute to support the Virginia Delaware Zahka Nursing Scholarship Fund. The Zahka Scholarship fund was created by the generosity of Sumner and Emilene Brown. Heather is also running in memory of her late husband.
Beth Ann Rutolo, first-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student is raising money for MGH Institute’s Physical Therapy Center for Clinical Education and Health Promotion.
Chuck Vanderburg is a faculty member of the Center for Interprofessional Studies and Innovation (CIPSI) at the Institute. He is raising money to support CIPSI.
