Thanks for visiting my Pine Street Inn 2013 Boston Marathon fundraising page! I got into running a little over a year ago and since then I've come to really love the sport. When friends suggested I run the Boston Marathon for the cause of a charitable organization at first I thought it seemed too daunting. It wasn't long though before the excitement of the idea had taken root and I wanted to pursue it. The opportunity to run in the oldest and most well-known annual marathon and to help raise money for a great cause was too great to pass up.
Pine Street Inn is an incredible operation. We have donated to their cause in the past, but getting to run on their marathon team is giving me an opportunity to really see first hand what they're all about. They kindly took the time to give me a tour of their facilities and to describe the work that they do. Its overwhelming the amount of effort and resources required to provide the services they do for those without a home. The respect and hope they provide for their guests is amazing. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to help raise money for so great a cause as ending homelessness.
Please help me reach my goal of raising $5,000 for Pine Street Inn by donating through this site, or by contacting me at email@example.com to arrange other means of donation. You'll be helping me live a dream of running Boston and be helping out a fantastic cause. If you made it reading this far, please let me call attention to the running weirdo pictured in the photo. Look how happy he is! That smile/grimace, those glassy eyes, the utter lack of grace or form. You could come witness this glory in person! Over 26.2 miles, hilarity will surely ensue as mind and body breakdown :) Price of admission is merely whatever you can donate. Thanks!
