This is a cause very near and dear to my heart. I lost my beloved grandmother in 2010 after she struggled with Alzheimer's disease for over ten years. By getting involved with RECALL and supporting the Alzheimer's Association, I hope one day this disease is a thing of the past.
No donation is too small...every dollar counts! Thank you for your generousity!
RECALL: Alzheimer's Association Young Professionals of Atlanta
“Bringing a new voice to Alzheimer’s disease.”
The mission of RECALL is to promote awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and its affects on individuals, families and caregivers and encourage young professionals to invest their time, talent, and resources in activities that align with the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter’s various initiatives.
Our vision is simple: A world without Alzheimer’s disease.
5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease.
One in eight older Americans has Alzheimer's disease.
Alzheimer's disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States and the only cause of death among the top 10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.
More than 15 million Americans provide unpaid care valued at $210 billion for persons with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Payments for care are estimated to be $200 billion in the United States in 2012.
