BENEFITING: The V Foundation
ORGANIZER: The V Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
My 4-year-old niece Annaliese once asked me, "...Why do you run?" Ever since, I've decided I want to have an even better answer for her than the one I gave then -- "Oh, it's good exercise and it's a stress reliever" -- and bring even more meaning to my running.
On Sunday, November 1st, I'll be tackling my very first marathon and racing through NYC's five boroughs. I'll be running that day, and in all my training runs leading up to it, for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. As Jimmy V said, "Don't give up...don't ever give up!" That'll be my mantra as I gear up for November 1st. I'll be running for all the people I love whose lives have been impacted by cancer, and I'll be running in hopes that we someday reach the goal of finding a cure.
Please join me in donating to the V Foundation. Any contribution, small or large, will be really, really appreciated, and your good vibes (and $) will not only help motivate me across that finish line in Central Park, but most importantly, will help fund grants for the brilliant physicians and scientists working to eradicate the disease.
Thanks so much for your support, now and always!
