BENEFITING: THE MEN AND LADIES OF HONOR
Jimmy Rorie, father of our founder Tony Rorie, served The Men and Ladies of Honor faithfully as our Prayer Pastor for many years. Beyond his own family, whom he loved dearly, he was a spiritual father and grandfather to many, touching thousands of young lives, especially during the camps that were the threshold to so many life changes. Jimmy loved camp, and campers and leaders loved and revered him.
On February 19, 2014, when Tony posted on Facebook "My Hero went to be with the Lord," The Men and Ladies of Honor parted with a prayer warrior who was indeed a hero to so many.
As a tribute to our hero, we have established The Jimmy Rorie Memorial Camp Scholarship Fund. About 80% of the at-risk kids we serve need financial assistance to attend camp. Jimmy realized the powerful spiritual impact of these weekend camps, supporting them with his prayers and wholehearted service, personally praying a father's blessing over countless fatherless children.
In his memory, we want to fund at least 200 kids a year to attend camp -- will you help us make it happen?
