BENEFITING: TUESDAYS CHILDREN
ORGANIZER: TUESDAYS CHILDREN
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
For the seventh consecutive year, I will be fundraising on behalf of Tuesday’s Children and participating in the New York City Marathon. This time of year, as always, is a time of reflection for me and my family. More so than ever, I am proud to be a part of Tuesday’s Children as it enters its fifteenth year stronger than ever. Originally founded with a sole focus stemming from a singular event, TC has broadened its outreach and program offerings. Traumatic events and tragedies are an all too common part of our world’s fabric, and TC’s work truly begins when the emergency response ends. The collective generosity of all you donors facilitates the charity’s time-tested, long-term approach to helping communities heal and recover.
I’m grateful for the people I’ve met through Tuesday’s Children. I’m especially thankful for the friendships, relationships, and mentorships that have blossomed as a result of my involvement with the charity. TC is not just a facilitator of these relationships, but it acts as a role model for me in my personal and professional life. Like so many great people I know, TC only knows how to do the right thing, and I’m continually learning what that means on a near daily basis.
For my six previous fundraising campaigns, I’ve raised over $200,000, cumulatively. Thanks to all of you, each year, marathon running has been the hard part and fundraising, a cinch. Just as I wouldn’t be who I am today without TC, it is my friends, family and colleagues to whom I owe the most; thank you for viewing my page and I hope I see you all out on the sidelines of the marathon on November 6th!
