I cannot think of a more valuable lesson than to teach my children the importance of contributing to the world in a meaningful way and being a part of something greater than themselves. In October of last year, I first became aware of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation and its mission for positive change that impacts the world and its creatures. ISF's integrated approach at tackling many world issues is both revolutionary and timely. This foundation encompasses people of all ages and ethnicities and empowers them to make a difference. I had to be a part of it. I am a preschool teacher, It Works! distributor, and mother in a blended family of nine children. Growing up, I was the child that couldn't even walk, much less run the mile; ridiculed mercilessly for my weight. Having come full circle and conquered that battle, I cannot think of a greater honor than RUNNING July 4th on behalf of this amazing cause. Please join me in supporting this organization and all of its good works! I want to see the ISF animal sanctuary built so that healing can begin for animals in need and those involved in bullying. Donate if you can!
