BENEFITING: The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, Inc.
ORGANIZER: The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
On November 1st I will be running my 11th marathon in support Team Fight and Ulman Cancer fund. I need your help!
Both Ashton and I have had our families impacted by cancer and made much more devastating because loved ones were diagnosed in their youth. We have witnessed young adults fighting cancer as they often confront the loss of a sense of independence and the natural progression of maturity, as well as concerns over changes in physical appearance, fertility, and relationships. Additionally they face obstacles such as education, insurance, and employment.
The Ulman Cancer Fund was created in 1997 by a 19 year old cancer survivor, Doug Ulman, and his family and remains steadfast in its mission to work for and with young adults and their families as they battle this disease by offering support, resources, and a community that recognizes the profound effect of cancer on young people’s lives.
PLEASE HELP ME as I work towards this goal of running my first NYC marathon and dedicating my 16 weeks of training and the proceeds I raise to a very worthwhile and honorable cause.
