Please know that any strides we make could not be done without the support of the community and caring individuals willing to make a difference. The Women’s and Girls’ Cancer Alliance ignites the fight against women’s and girls’ cancers through education and advocacy by empowering women and girls with the knowledge and confidence necessary to take control of their gynecologic health.

There are main 5 types of gynecologic (GYN) cancers: ovarian, cervical, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar.  Unfortunately, the Pap test does not detect all GYN cancers, only cervical cancer. There is no screening test for the other four GYN cancers. Breast cancer is also connected to gynecological cancers through hereditary genetic mutations. Serving multiple counties of Central Florida (Seminole, Orange, Flagler/Volusia, and Lake), WGCA programs include community educational outreach, medical educational partnerships, and social survivor care and advocacy.
