Join the Weizmann Institute in Supporting Women in Science.
It is common knowledge that women are underrepresented in the sciences – a situation that the Weizmann Institute of Science feels must change. To that end, we established an initiative to recruit, mentor, and advance talented female scientists. The most popular effort is the donor-funded National Postdoctoral Award Program for Advancing Women in Science. Postdoctoral studies abroad in the world’s most prestigious institutions are key to building a career in science in Israel, but this endeavor is particularly challenging for women, many of whom have families at this point in their lives. And yet each year, thanks to the postdoctoral award, a select group of brilliant women is able to take up this challenge.
Recipients say that conducting their postdoc work in competitive laboratories such as Harvard, Caltech, Princeton, and the like would be much more difficult, if not impossible, without this stipend. The positive impact is clear: this support is good for women, for Weizmann, for Israel, for the world … and perhaps most of all, for science.
Your funding efforts help talented women scientists pursue their dreams!
