BENEFITING: ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer
ORGANIZER: ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
You may wonder why I have chosen to support this cause. In recent months, prostate cancer has become a very personal issue for me. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last October and underwent treatment this February. The surgery was successful and no further treatment is anticipated.
Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. The American Cancer Society’s estimates for prostate cancer in the United States for 2015 are:
About 220,800 new cases of prostate cancer
About 27,540 deaths from prostate cancer
This will be the fourth time running the NY Marathon, but first time since 1991.
I would very much appreciate it if you were to sponsor me in this effort. If you donate, please take advantage of any matching gifts policy your employer might have.
