Dear Friends and Family,
If you are reading this, you already know that in line with the Jewish idea of Tzedakah or charitable giving, I have decided to forgo gifts for my Bar Mitzvah.
Thank you so much for considering making a gift instead to the Robin Hood Foundation, an amazing organization that fights poverty in New York City. Their work not only helps NYC's poorest families now, but works to end the cycle of poverty going forward. By supporting food programs for the hungry, education, development of work skills, health care and so much more, Robin Hood transforms lives.
EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR YOU GIVE, GOES DIRECTLY TO HELP SOMEONE. This is because the board of directors of Robin Hood underwrites all administrative costs. So not a penny of your donation is wasted.
Think about this: Right here in our own city, 1.8 million people are living in poverty. More than half of all babies born in NYC, are born into poverty. These are our neighbors, and they are struggling! And Robin Hood is fighting every day to make things better.
I really appreciate your supporting me in this effort to help our neediest neighbors.
If you would prefer to send a check, please make it out to Robin Hood and mail it to the address below. Be sure to include a note that indicates the donation is being made in honor of Zack’s Bar Mitzvah.
