A bright future for our children
Organized by: Bruce Moussodou
Hi my name is Bruce and I'm a french engineer in oil and gas living in Gabon, Central Africa. This place is a super rich country (so it seems) yet resources aren't channelled to those who really need it. It can be seen across the whole spectrum of this tiny African country. I'm not telling you another African story with starving children, war stricken country, refugees etc.. though it may be true but Gabon is at the opposite of what ones generally sees in Africa. This country is so rich people should have to work, pay for school, health etc... Unfortunately the revenues just vanishes into thin air forcing the population into an abject poverty that's appalling to say the least. The best way for children to have a better future is through quality knowledge, top level education that teaches self-reliance and promotes excellency in learning to be the best and have the tool to challenge the world. I found that school in an unlikely place. The head teacher has a highest pass rate of the entire city for primary school education. The children from his school entering junior high and going further remain the best of students wining national awards. He didn't wait for us to help. He has worked his way the best he could. I have just decided to team up with him to provide with better tools so all his students may benefit from it. The roofs are leaking when raining, there is no toilet facility, no water, no electricity , not enough tables so students sit on the floor. I wanna help him to help himself. These children are the future of Gabon. they just need a little push. Do not hesitate to contact me for more details. I have to leave it there for now. I have to meet the head teacher today and work on the school activities. Everyday we work to improve this school step by step. We will appreciate any help you can give us.
