A baby for Tracy & Miguel
Organized by: Tracy Zarate
Tracy and Miguel, as most engaged couples, fell in love and dreamed of the future. They hoped one day to build a family together with four children to love. After their wedding on June 28, 2015, it was a beautiful and nearly perfect three months of wedded bliss full of hope and excitement. However, after 3 months of marriage, Tracy and Miguel were diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure. This diagnosis was made as Tracy's body stopped ovulation without any explanation. Three separate reproductive endocrinologists have reported egg donation is the only option for Tracy to have a child. Tracy and Miguel's preference is to have Tracy carry the new life in her womb and experience pregnancy. Tracy is the type of person who you picture being a mom and she deserves to have this dream fulfilled. In her own words, "The amount of emotional and financial stress associated with an infertility diagnosis is immense. It would be a blessing beyond words to be able to carry a child and give birth whether or not I am the biological mother." This medical diagnosis is truly one of the hardest and most unfair struggles in Tracy and Miguel's lives, but they remain hopeful and faithful. The medical procedures required to complete a successful egg donation cost $25,000 and are required to be paid out of pocket as the procedures are not covered through health insurance and must be paid in full in order to complete this infertility treatment. Although Tracy and Miguel work hard and save money, it will take more than 5 years to save up enough to have one child through egg donation. Tracy and Miguel had dreamed of having 4 children together in the past, but have adjusted their goals to meet their circumstances. Please help a struggling couple fulfill this dream of creating a family together with a small donation.
